Number of supplier complaint reviews completed within 120 working days as per legislative requirements The Office of the Procurement Ombud (OPO) receives complaints related to procurement activity with the Government of Canada. The information in this dataset records the number of complaints that were reviewed within the mandated 120 working days.<br><br> Sections 8 and 17 of the Procurement Ombud Regulations require reviews of supplier complaints regarding the award or administration of federal contracts. These complaints are submitted to OPO and are to be initiated within 10 working days of the filing of a complaint. During this time the complaint is assessed to verify that it is valid and is within the OPO’s mandate. Complaints outside of OPO’s mandate may be referred to the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) if they fall within this organizations mandate to address. Once initiated, reviews of complaints must be completed, as per sections 14 and 22 of the Regulations, within 120 working days of when a complaint is filed.
