January Mean Daily Minimum Temperatures

January Mean Daily Minimum Temperatures The map shows the mean daily minimum temperatures for January. January marks the depths of winter across Canada and, with the exception of the coastal parts of southern Vancouver Island, below freezing minimum temperatures are the norm. The deep freeze is particularly evident near Baker Lake in Nunavut and throughout much of the Arctic Archipelago, where normal January minimum temperatures average in the low -30s and even -40ºC. The low sun angle means that much of the rest of Canada experiences minimum temperatures below -15ºC. 2022-03-14 Natural Resources Canada geoinfo@nrcan.gc.ca Nature and EnvironmentScience and Technologyenvironmentmaptemperature Download the English JP2 File through HTTPJP2 https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/eng/6360_january_mean_daily_minimum_temperature.jp2 Download the English ZIP (PDF,JPG) file through HTTPZIP https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/eng/6360_january_mean_daily_minimum_temperature.zip Download the French JP2 File through HTTPother https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/fra/6360_temperatures_minimales_quotidiennes_moyennes_janvier.jp2 Download the French ZIP (PDF, JPG) File through HTTPZIP https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/fra/6360_temperatures_minimales_quotidiennes_moyennes_janvier.zip
