Age, 1996 - Youth (under 15 years) by Census Subdivision

Age, 1996 - Youth (under 15 years) by Census Subdivision This map represents the proportion of the population under 15 years of age. There are a number of general patterns apparent on this map. The north has a higher proportion of youth than the south. The Aboriginal population in the north still exhibits what is termed a "young" population (consult the population pyramids for the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut). There are several regions in southern Canada that have a low proportion of youth. These tend to be in the agricultural regions of the country. Once the scale has been increased, notice the detailed pattern. The small centres in the Prairies have lower proportions of youth than the surrounding rural area. 2022-03-14 Natural Resources Canada geoinfo@nrcan.gc.ca Society and Culturedemographic mapsdemographic statisticsmap Download the English JP2 File through HTTPJP2 https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/eng/6479_age_1996_youth_under_15_years_csd.jp2 Download the English ZIP (PDF,JPG) file through HTTPZIP https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/eng/6479_age_1996_youth_under_15_years_csd.zip Download the French JP2 File through HTTPother https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/fra/6479_age_1996_moins_15_ans_sdr.jp2 Download the French ZIP (PDF, JPG) File through HTTPZIP https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_6_ed/fra/6479_age_1996_moins_15_ans_sdr.zip
