Aboriginal Population, 1996 Aboriginal populations are most prominently found in the territories, but also in the north of the provinces. A large proportion of them are in fact found in northern Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta and Quebec. The northwestern coast of British Columbia also has a high percentage of Aboriginal population.
