Seismicity

Seismicity Contained within the 5th Edition (1978 to 1995) of the National Atlas of Canada is plate with three maps. The first map shows the locations (epicentres) of several thousand earthquakes occurring in or near Canada from 1568 to 1992; earthquakes classified by their magnitude and date. Table gives details on 24 significant earthquakes. The second map shows tectonics (geological features explaining seismic activity patterns). The third small map portrays seismic zones specified in the National Building Code. 2022-03-14 Natural Resources Canada geoinfo@nrcan.gc.ca Form DescriptorsNature and EnvironmentScience and Technologyearth sciencesearthquakesgeologynatural disasters Download English JPG through HTTPJPG https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_5_ed/eng/environment/land/mcr4171.jpg Download English PDF through HTTPPDF https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_5_ed/eng/environment/land/mcr4171.pdf Download French JPG through HTTPJPG https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_5_ed/fra/environment/land/mcr4171.jpg Download French PDF through HTTPPDF https://ftp.geogratis.gc.ca/pub/nrcan_rncan/raster/atlas_5_ed/fra/environment/land/mcr4171.pdf
