Forest information system by tesserelle (SIFORT)

Forest information system by tesserelle (SIFORT) The forest information system by tesserelle (SIFORT) is a system created to meet various needs for analysis and knowledge of the Quebec territory. SIFORT is a database composed of polygonal units of 15 seconds (latitude) by 15 seconds (longitude), with an average area of about 14 hectares. The information of the tesserae is obtained by assigning the forest data to the centroid of the tesserelle. Thus, for each of the tiles, we find information such as the type of cover, the type of disturbance of origin, the year of the disturbance, the species, the density, etc. This system integrates forest information from the different forest inventories (first, second, third, fourth and fifth inventories, when available) and offers the advantage of constituting a fixed analysis grid in space. Making it possible to relate the forest composition of the territory with the various natural disturbances (e.g. fire and insects) and forest interventions, SIFORT makes it possible to feed various statistical and temporal studies and analyses with the objective of ensuring sustainable management of Quebec's forest territory.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).** 2022-05-18 Government and Municipalities of Québec services.clientele@mffp.gouv.qc.ca Form DescriptorsNature and EnvironmentScience and Technology Geometry of tesseraeFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_Geometrie.gdb.zip Fifth Inventory Program - original dataFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_PRG_5_V0.gdb.zip Fourth Inventory Program - original dataFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_PRG_4_V0.gdb.zip Fourth Inventory Program - latest versionFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_PRG_4_DV.gdb.zip Third Inventory Program - original dataFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_PRG_3_V0.gdb.zip Third Inventory Program - latest versionFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_PRG_3_DV.gdb.zip Second Inventory Program - original dataFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_PRG_2_V0.gdb.zip Second Inventory Program - latest versionFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_PRG_2_DV.gdb.zip First inventory program - original dataFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_PRG_1_V0.gdb.zip First Inventory Program - latest versionFGDB/GDB https://diffusion.mffp.gouv.qc.ca/Diffusion/DonneeGratuite/Foret/DONNEES_FOR_ECO_SUD/SIFORT/TES_PRG_1_DV.gdb.zip Original metadata (https://www.donneesquebec.ca)HTML https://www.donneesquebec.ca/recherche/fr/dataset/01c1866d-ce44-4f4f-a954-947c79e65811
