Retail sales of pesticides covered by an agronomic prescription in Quebec Pesticide retail licence holders (subcategory B1) must report, no later than January 31 of each year, certain information relating to sales made during the previous year (Regulation Respecting Permits and Certificates for the Sale and Use of Pesticides, section 55.1). The declared pesticides are covered by an agronomic requirement, namely those in class 3A (seeds of certain crops coated with neonicotinoids) and those containing atrazine, chlorpyrifos, clothianidin, imidacloprid or thiamethoxam. Retail is defined as selling for the purpose of use, that is, the customer uses the pesticide. A subcategory B1 permit is issued to a business that sells or offers retail sales of Class 1 to Class 3A pesticides.
