Continuing Care Accommodation Standards Compliance Reporting

Continuing Care Accommodation Standards Compliance Reporting Alberta Health monitors all supportive living and long-term care accommodations for compliance to the Accommodation Standards, the Resident and Family Councils Act (RFCA) and the Continuing Care Health Service Standards (CCHSS). The purpose of the Accommodation Standards is to ensure accommodations maintain a high quality of accommodation services (e.g. meals, building maintenance, security and housekeeping) that promote the safety, security and quality of life of Albertans living in those accommodations. The RFCA is intended to support residents and their families in establishing an effective Resident and Family Council. The CCHSS are a set of legislated, minimum standards that operators must comply with in the provision of health care (e.g., medication management, care planning, staff training). Alberta Health monitored CMOH Orders between March 20, 2020 and June 30, 2022. The CMOH Orders were explicit requirements for all operators, staff, residents, as well as the families and friends of those residents who live within the facilities to support early recognition and swift action for effective management of COVID-19. Alberta Health currently reports publicly on the results of licensing and monitoring visits in supportive living and long-term care facilities across the province at http://standardsandlicensing.alberta.ca. This table provides statistics, as well as licensing and contact information on supportive living and long-term care facilities and their compliance to the Accommodation Standards since April 1, 2013, the RFCA since April 1, 2018, the CCHSS since fall 2017, and the CMOH Orders from March 20, 2020 to June 30, 2022. 2024-07-24 Government of Alberta asal@gov.ab.ca Health and SafetyPersonsSociety and CultureComplianceLicensingMonitoringNon-Complianceaccommodationaccommodation standardsfacilitystandards Column DescriptionsXLSX https://open.alberta.ca/dataset/2003f13d-33ad-4d3f-865d-0d9488ace84d/resource/05716327-511e-4468-9069-acf4d0f03962/download/facility-compliance-column-descriptions.xlsx December 2023 Open_Data_Extract.xlsxXLSX https://open.alberta.ca/dataset/2003f13d-33ad-4d3f-865d-0d9488ace84d/resource/fc5ac418-cfa3-40d8-be88-5979a8dd7061/download/december-2023-open_data_extract.xlsx Original metadata (https://open.alberta.ca/opendata)HTML https://open.alberta.ca/opendata/2003f13d-33ad-4d3f-865d-0d9488ace84d
