Wild Bird and Hunter-Trapper Harvested Wildlife Toxicology and Contaminants, Oil Sands Region

Wild Bird and Hunter-Trapper Harvested Wildlife Toxicology and Contaminants, Oil Sands Region Waterfowl and mammals harvested and trapped at various locations in the oil sands region and in reference locations are assessed for contaminant burdens and toxicology. Wildlife samples are obtained from local hunters and trappers. Tissue samples are analysed for concentrations of oil sands-related contaminants (heavy metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and naphthenic acids). Dead and moribund birds collected from tailing ponds are also evaluated for levels and effects of contaminants. 2022-05-20 Environment and Climate Change Canada bruce.pauli@canada.ca Nature and Environmentoil sands; monitoring; biodiversity; contaminants; waterfowl; mammalsNature and Biodiversity - ContaminantsObservation/MeasurementProtect Species Well-BeingAssess Status of SpeciesPrairie - Alberta (AB)Oil sandsGame (Wildlife) Wild Bird and Hunter-Trapper Harvested Wildlife Toxicology and Contaminants Data (English)CSV http://donnees.ec.gc.ca/data/species/assess/wild-bird-and-hunter-trapper-harvested-wildlife-toxicology-and-contaminants-oil-sands-region/?lang=en Wild Bird and Hunter-Trapper Harvested Wildlife Toxicology and Contaminants Data (French)CSV http://donnees.ec.gc.ca/data/species/assess/wild-bird-and-hunter-trapper-harvested-wildlife-toxicology-and-contaminants-oil-sands-region/?lang=fr Wild Bird and Hunter-Trapper Harvested Wildlife Toxicology and ContaminantsESRI REST https://maps-cartes.ec.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/OSM/MapServer/9 Wild Bird and Hunter-Trapper Harvested Wildlife Toxicology and ContaminantsESRI REST https://maps-cartes.ec.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/OSM/MapServer/31 Wild Bird and Hunter-Trapper Harvested Wildlife Toxicology and ContaminantsWMS https://maps-cartes.ec.gc.ca/arcgis/services/OSM/MapServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS&layers=36&legend_format=image/png&feature_info_type=text/html Wild Bird and Hunter-Trapper Harvested Wildlife Toxicology and ContaminantsWMS https://maps-cartes.ec.gc.ca/arcgis/services/OSM/MapServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS&layers=14&legend_format=image/png&feature_info_type=text/html View ECCC Data Mart (English)HTML http://data.ec.gc.ca/data/species/assess/wild-bird-and-hunter-trapper-harvested-wildlife-toxicology-and-contaminants-oil-sands-region View ECCC Data Mart (French)HTML http://data.ec.gc.ca/data/species/assess/wild-bird-and-hunter-trapper-harvested-wildlife-toxicology-and-contaminants-oil-sands-region?lang=fr
