Vegetation Drought Response Index (VegDri)

Vegetation Drought Response Index (VegDri) This data represents the dryness of the land surface based on vegetation conditions. The data is created weekly and uses weekly information on precipitation anomalies (namely the Standardized Precipitation Index or SPI) and satellite vegetation condition derived from Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) from the MODIS Satellite. These dynamic data sets along with static data sets on land cover, soil water holding capacity, irrigation, ecozones and land surface elevation are used to model the drought severity, based on the Palmer Drought Severity Index (PDSI). The mapcubist model was trained on historical data and applied in real time to the dynamic inputs to produce drought severity ratings. The model is run at a 1km resolution and was developed by the AAFC, the United States Geological Survey and the United States Drought Monitor at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. 2023-07-05 Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Agri-Geomatics-Agrog@agr.gc.ca Nature and EnvironmentScience and TechnologyPrecipitationCropsAgricultureFarmlands Pre-packaged GeoTIF files (No linguistic component)TIFF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/vegDri/data_donnees/tif/ Vegetation Drought Response IndexWMS https://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/services/imageservices/vegdri/ImageServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS Vegetation Drought Response IndexWMS https://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/services/servicesimage/indice_vegetation_secheresse/ImageServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS Data Product Specification (English)PDF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/vegDri/supportdocument_documentdesupport/en/ISO_19131_Vegetation_Drought_Response_Index_VegDRI_Data_Product_Specifications.pdf Data Product Specification (French)PDF https://agriculture.canada.ca/atlas/data_donnees/vegDri/supportdocument_documentdesupport/fr/VegIS%c3%a8che_SPC.pdf Vegetation Drought Response IndexESRI REST https://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/rest/services/imageservices/vegdri/ImageServer Vegetation Drought Response IndexESRI REST https://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/rest/services/servicesimage/indice_vegetation_secheresse/ImageServer
