Annual Crop Inventory 2011 In 2011, the Earth Observation Team of the Science and Technology Branch (STB) at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) expanded the process of generating annual crop inventory digital maps using satellite imagery to include British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritime provinces, in support of a national crop inventory. A Decision Tree (DT) based methodology was applied using optical (Landsat-5, DMC) and radar (RADARSAT-2) based satellite images, and having a final spatial resolution of 30m. In conjunction with satellite acquisitions, ground-truth information was provided by provincial crop insurance companies and point observations from our regional AAFC colleagues. 2013-11-04 2018-08-16 Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada agri-geomatics-agrog@agr.gc.ca AgricultureForm DescriptorsNature and EnvironmentScience and TechnologyRemote sensingSatellitesAgricultureCropsCrop insuranceFarmlandsForage cropsLand coverGeomaticsGeographic information systemsGeographic dataGeography Pre-packaged GeoTIF files (No linguistic component)GeoTIF http://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/data_donnees/agr/annualCropInventory/tif/2011/ Data Product Specification (English)PDF http://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/supportdocument_documentdesupport/annualCropInventory/en/ISO%2019131_AAFC_Annual_Crop_Inventory_Data_Product_Specifications.pdf Data Product Specification (French)PDF http://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/supportdocument_documentdesupport/annualCropInventory/fr/Inventaire_annuel_des_cultures_d_AAC_Specifications_de_contenu_informationnel_produites_conformement_a_la_norme_ISO_19131.pdf Crop classificationsCSV http://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/supportdocument_documentdesupport/annualCropInventory/aci_crop_classifications_iac_classifications_des_cultures.csv Annual Crop Inventory 2011WMS https://www5.agr.gc.ca/atlas/services/imageservices/annual_crop_inventory_2011/ImageServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS&layers=0&legend_format=image/png Annual Crop Inventory (English)HTML http://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/aci Annual Crop Inventory (French)HTML http://www.agr.gc.ca/atlas/iac Annual Crop Inventory 2011WMS https://www5.agr.gc.ca/atlas/services/servicesimage/inventaire_des_cultures_2011/ImageServer/WMSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WMS&layers=0&legend_format=image/png Annual Crop Inventory 2011ESRI REST https://www5.agr.gc.ca/atlas/rest/services/imageservices/annual_crop_inventory_2011/ImageServer Annual Crop Inventory 2011ESRI REST https://www5.agr.gc.ca/atlas/rest/services/servicesimage/inventaire_des_cultures_2011/ImageServer
