Trade names of pesticides covered by an agronomic prescription It is forbidden to apply, for agricultural purposes, pesticides containing the herbicide atrazine or the insecticide clothianidin, imidacloprid or thiamethoxam unless an agronomic prescription has been obtained beforehand (Pesticide Management Code, art. 74.1). The same applies to the planting of seeds of certain crops coated with neonicotinoids (class 3A). At the time of purchase of these pesticides, the prescription must be provided to the retailer (Regulation on permits and certificates for the sale and use of pesticides, art. 44). The following list, made available for the purposes of applying these requirements, indicates the product's registration number under the Pest Control Products Act, its trade name, the active ingredient (s) it contains, the intended crop for coated seeds, the class to which it belongs under the Regulations Respecting Permits and Certificates for the Sale and Use of Pesticides, and the permits or certificates required to obtain it.
