Why is the medical benefits only 15 weeks. I need a hip replacement and have waited 5 months and have not seen a hip Dr. yet. My family DR. says the government changed the waiting period for people over 65 to 8 months to see the Dr. and 2 years to have a replacement done... This utterly unbelievable. Sincerely Tom Cox

Useless,no info. given.
Hello, I would like to know the population in each of the EI regions. Is there a way of obtaining this information? I have seen that Cansim produces estimates of population based on the Standard Geographical Classification (SGC), but the SGC does not seem to correspond to the regional codes used for the EI regions.
Hi, your question has been forwarded to the data owner for their response. Stay tuned! Momin, the Open Government team.
Hi, After consulting with our colleagues at ESDC, the program area has provided the data as requested; it’s just not in open data format. In order to publish the data, we would need to go through all of our approval process which may take up to six weeks. Please email NC-OPEN_GOVERNMENT-GOUVERNEMENT_OUVERT-GD@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca and they will be able to send you a file via email. Thank you, Momin, the Open Government team. Merci!
When will this information be updated? It appears the last monthly adjusted unemployment rate recorded is December 2014
Hi, the team in charge of this dataset are working to release the 2015 and 2016 over the next few weeks. In the meantime, if it helps, these datasets are kept current on the Service Canada website: http://srv129.services.gc.ca/ei_regions/eng/tab.aspx Thank you, Momin, the Open Government team.
Thank you so much for your quick response.
wondering if I will have extended weeks of EI , because of the pilot project in my area. I have phoned and talked to a local office, but still do not know the answer.
Hi Wendy, Please note that this comment system is meant to address issues around the datasets and information posted on the open.canada.ca site. I recommend you contact Employment and Social Development Canada. Their contact information can be found here: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/corporate/service-canada/contact/ei-individual.html Thank you and I hope this helps. Momin, Open Government team.
