Fuel tax rates
Fuel tax rates were last changed on July 1, 2022. The current rates are: * 9 ¢ per litre Effective July 1, 2022 until December 31, 2023, the fuel tax rate will be reduced from 14.3 cents per litre to 9.0 cents per litre, representing a cut of 5.3 cents per litre. The tax rate decrease takes effect at 12:01 a.m., July 1, 2022. This temporary tax cut applies to clear diesel (including blended), clear kerosene and biodiesel. * 4.5¢ per litre for railway equipment The current dye cost (updated quarterly) is $3.06 per litre.
