Inpatient Separations for the Local Geographic Area (LGA) Residents to Facilities Located In versus Out of the Local Geographic Area (LGA), Fiscal Year 2011/2012

Inpatient Separations for the Local Geographic Area (LGA) Residents to Facilities Located In versus Out of the Local Geographic Area (LGA), Fiscal Year 2011/2012 This table provides the inpatient separations made by local area residents to facilities within the local geographic area as well as facilities outside of it. The data is provided for the most recent fiscal year available. An inpatient separation from a health care facility occurs anytime a patient (or resident) leaves because of death, discharge, sign-out against medical advice or transfer. The number of separations is the most commonly used measure of the utilization of hospital services. Separations, rather than admissions, are used because hospital abstracts for inpatient care are based on information gathered at the time of discharge. This indicator dataset contains information at both Local Geographic Area (for example, Lacombe, Red Deer, Calgary West Bow, etc.) and Alberta levels. Local geographic area refers to 132 geographic areas created by Alberta Health (AH) and Alberta Health Services (AHS) based on census boundaries. This table is the part of "Alberta Health Primary Health Care - Community Profiles" report published February 2013. 2024-03-13 Government of Alberta Health.InfoRequest@gov.ab.ca Health and SafetyInpatient Separation RatesPercent INPercent OUT Inpatient Separations for the Local Geographic Area (LGA) Residents to Facilities Located In versus Out of the Local Geographic Area (LGA), Fiscal Year 2011/2012XLSX https://open.alberta.ca/dataset/efbde1bc-6add-4803-95b1-928c37e4d06f/resource/e8c67cf9-6533-45fe-9947-6a38654ff606/download/table-11.1-inpatient-.xlsx Original metadata (https://open.alberta.ca/opendata)HTML https://open.alberta.ca/opendata/efbde1bc-6add-4803-95b1-928c37e4d06f
