Report on food inspection activities The food inspection report for this group shows the important work carried out by the City on the territory of the Montréal agglomeration under the powers delegated to it by the Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ). The food inspection team includes nearly 40 specialists. Their mission is to ensure consumer protection by ensuring the safety and quality of foods prepared, served and sold in food establishments in the catering, retail, processing, distribution and warehousing sectors. To do this, this team: -Inspects, according to health risks, food and activities related to the preparation, processing, preservation and handling of food; -Advises food store operators, in order to promote good practices ensuring the safety of the food consumed; -Conducts analyses and expertise relating to the quality and safety of food.
