Request Summary: As summarized in their 2022 summary of their technical program (NWMO-TR-2023-01, Section 3.2.5 titled "Whiteshell Fuel Transfer Project, published May 2023) the Nuclear Waste Management Organization has submitted an application to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission to permit their certified Used Fuel Transportation Package (CDN/2052/B(U) (Rev. 10)) to be used for transport of high-level nuclear waste from Whiteshell to Chalk River. Please provide the following information: a) A copy of the application, b) All communications related to the technical assessment being carried out by CNSC including communications related to the initial review by the certification engineer, the peer review by a second certification engineer and any other CNSC staff, c) The workplan for the review, including the initial review, the peer review, and the final review and approval by a designated officer, and d) All communications referencing, describing, commenting on or responding to information requests from [Redacted] related to this matter.
