Request Summary: Records concerning the removal of inadmissible individuals to Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and its regulations, including: any written policies, manuals, or other documents instructing Border Services Officers on whether and how to use physical force on individuals who resist or attempt to escape during the process of removal. This includes any guidance on what circumstances justify the use of force, how much force is proportional, and what de-escalation strategies are to be used. Additionally, any written policies, criteria, or other documents guiding the removal of an individual to any country that will authorize entry under Section 241(2) of the IRPA Regulations.
