Informal Request for ATI Records Previously Released

Organization: Employment and Social Development Canada

Year: 2024

Month: July

Request Number: A-2024-00679

Request Summary: There is a Government of Canada 'Advanced search' web page available at:https://www.canada.ca/en/sr/srb/sra.html There are a few boxes to be filled in on this form. This web page previously allowed for individuals to search for web links. I recall that a search for 'laws lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/Const/page-15.html' under 'this exact word or phrase' had previously generated 259 search results just days ago, within the first several days of June. However, when I attempted to use this web page on the evening of June 11, 2024, it only generated 11 search results. As of June 11, it would appear that search results only appear if/when a web link is part of the text of a federal government web page, rather than as a web link that is linked to. I would like information from the following date range: March 11 to June 11, 2024 I would like the name, position title and contact information for the individual(s) responsible for implementing this change, along with any documentation of whose behest this was done for. Basically, the utility of the GoC 'Advanced search' page has been throttled. Who is the person ultimately responsible for having done this? At whose direction were the ‘Advanced search’ page search parameters modified? Please include all emails, records of phone calls, text messages, meeting notes and/or consultation materials related to this along with any other discussion of modifying the search parameters of this web page
