Luke Dillon, prisoner D294 at Kingston Penitentiary between May 1900 and July 1914. Also from the same record group the inmate case files of John Nolan/Nolin/Noland (prisoner D296, May 1900 - 1916) and John Walsh/Welsh (prisoner number unknown, May 1900 - his death in 1907). The inmate case files are in RG No.: 73, Series: C - Penitentiary Branch, Inmate Case Files, 1900-1964, Accession No.: 1992-93/158, Boxes 1-200. As the finding aid 73-42 is restricted I cannot be more specific. These three men were Fenians imprisoned for a dynamite attack on the Welland Canal during the South African War.

To whom it may concern, hello, we would like to know the identity of a wreck located north of Île Blanche, St. Lawrence River, Quebec, whose presence is indicated on the nautical charts at the following approximate position: 48° 0'N, 69°39'W. The wreck lies about 47 m (154 ft) deep. According to an article in Le Soleil on June 17, 1949, page 17, it would be the floating mechanical crane "Muscextension" whose barge which was towing it - named "International" - was the victim of a collision with the Sein, a French ship of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique de Paris, in 1949.
