I am reaching out to seek your assistance in obtaining information from CMHC regarding the federal government's Limited Dividend Program. This program played a crucial role in delivering low to moderate rental units to the market, starting in the late 1930s, and was a significant part of the Assisted Private Rental Program, initiated with the National Housing Act in 1938 under Section 15 (formerly Section 13, Limited Dividend). Originally financed through a combination of federal and private loans, the program underwent a transformative shift in 1954 when it became exclusively supported by a direct federal loan. In my pursuit of a thorough understanding of this historical initiative, I am seeking any available data that the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) might possess. Specifically, I am interested in the following details: 1. Names(corporations) of the recipients of the Limited Dividend Program. 2. Addresses of the properties where the low to moderate rental units were built. 3. The number of rental units the program produced over its lifespan. 4. Data on approved rental increases at each property over the life span of the program.
