Req # A2019-022

I would like to know if the Civilian Review and Complaints Commission for the RCMP received and processed, in the past, one or more public complaints against the former police officer of the RCMP Peter Gregory Downing, from Alberta. Constable Downing resigned from the RCMP in May 2015. He worked in the St-Albert, Morinville and Leduc detachments. If one or more complaints have been made against him as a member of the RCMP, I would like to obtain a copy of the following types of records: Complaint forms sent to the CRCC by complainants; Complaint forms sent to the RCMP by the complainants and sent to the CRCC; RCMP letters sent to complainants following the public complaint investigation; Interim and final reports of the Chairperson following the review of a public complaint. In addition, I would like to obtain any email exchange between RCMP employees and any third parties related to the investigation of the complaint (s), if any.
