Irrefutable evidence and supporting documentation that procedure and surgical mask-use by healthy individuals in public establishments is justified being a preventative intervention for SARS-CoV-2 when the MPPS filtration capacity, as per the manufacturer and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) standards, are too large to stop a virus particulate from penetrating the mask. Health Canada does not do their own testing of mask safety and efficacy and relies on NIOSH standards.
