The purpose of this document is to provide the performance standards to be used to determine whether a remission should be granted, under the Fees in Respect of Drugs and Medical Devices Order (Order), to a person who must pay a fee under that Order.

This report, which is tabled under section 20 of the Service Fees Act and section 4.2.8 of the Directive on Charging and Special Financial Authorities, contains information about the fees that Health Canada had the authority to charge in the 2022-23 fiscal year.

Fees for regulatory activities related to human drugs (pharmaceutical and biological) are charged as per the Fees in Respect of Drugs and Medical Devices Order.

Sponsors will be issued an invoice for the full fee related to examining the NDS or SNDS once Health Canada has accepted the submission for review and issued the screening acceptance letter.
