I am looking for any RCMP or surveillance reports on Peter Johnson. The period of time I am interested in is 1935-1937. Peter Johnson was born April 19, 1909 and lived in North Vancouver and Vancouver. He was a seaman and a member of the Seafarer’s Industrial Union Longshore & Water Transport Workers of Canada unions. He was involved in the 1935-36 Seamen's strike, and was a member of the communist party from 1935. He went to Spain in March of 1937 with the International Brigades and died in Spain.

I was wondering if you could help me find some historical records. In 1933, John Manzuk (or could be spelled Manzak) was imprisoned in Fort Saskatchewan Jail, Alberta, for about 3 months. Do you know where I can get (police?) information or (court?) documents on why he was there? Then, in February 1934 he murdered 2 people near Wildwood, Alberta and then committed suicide. On the Registration of Death for those 2 people was handwritten "police report attached to Manzak's registration of death". I have obtained that registration but no police report attached.
