Seasonal aragonite saturation state climatology of the Canadian Pacific Exclusive Economic Zone from BCCM model (1993-2020)

Seasonal aragonite saturation state climatology of the Canadian Pacific Exclusive Economic Zone from BCCM model (1993-2020) Description: Seasonal mean aragonite saturation state from the British Columbia continental margin model (BCCM) were averaged over the 1993 to 2020 period to create seasonal mean climatology of the Canadian Pacific Exclusive Economic Zone. Methods: Aragonite saturation states at up to forty-six linearly interpolated vertical levels from surface to 2400 m and at the sea bottom are included. Spring months were defined as April to June, summer months were defined as July to September, fall months were defined as October to December, and winter months were defined as January to March. The data available here contain raster layers of seasonal aragonite saturation state climatology for the Canadian Pacific Exclusive Economic Zone at 3 km spatial resolution and 47 vertical levels. Uncertainties: Model results have been extensively evaluated against observations (e.g. altimetry, CTD and nutrient profiles, observed geostrophic currents), which showed the model can reproduce with reasonable accuracy the main oceanographic features of the region including salient features of the seasonal cycle and the vertical and cross-shore gradient of water properties. However, the model resolution is too coarse to allow for an adequate representation of inlets, nearshore areas, and the Strait of Georgia. 2024-06-20 Fisheries and Oceans Canada Angelica.Pena@dfo-mpo.gc.ca Nature and EnvironmentScience and TechnologyClimatologyClimateOceansModelling Data DictionaryPDF https://api-proxy.edh.azure.cloud.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/catalogue/records/58accff5-f6c2-4146-b82e-379d4f06e4cb/attachments/Data_Dictionary_EN_FR_Seasonal_Climatologies_BCCM_1993-2020.pdf ReferencesPDF https://api-proxy.edh.azure.cloud.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/catalogue/records/58accff5-f6c2-4146-b82e-379d4f06e4cb/attachments/References_EN_FR_Seasonal_Climatologies_BCCM_1993-2020.pdf Seasonal aragonite saturation state climatology of the CPEEZ from BCCM model (1993-2020) - SummerGeoTIF https://api-proxy.edh.azure.cloud.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/catalogue/records/58accff5-f6c2-4146-b82e-379d4f06e4cb/attachments/omega_arag_sum.7z Seasonal aragonite saturation state climatology of the CPEEZ from BCCM model (1993-2020) - WinterGeoTIF https://api-proxy.edh.azure.cloud.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/catalogue/records/58accff5-f6c2-4146-b82e-379d4f06e4cb/attachments/omega_arag_win.7z Seasonal aragonite saturation state climatology of the CPEEZ from BCCM model (1993-2020) - FallGeoTIF https://api-proxy.edh.azure.cloud.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/catalogue/records/58accff5-f6c2-4146-b82e-379d4f06e4cb/attachments/omega_arag_fal.7z Seasonal aragonite saturation state climatology of the CPEEZ from BCCM model (1993-2020) - SpringGeoTIF https://api-proxy.edh.azure.cloud.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/catalogue/records/58accff5-f6c2-4146-b82e-379d4f06e4cb/attachments/omega_arag_spr.7z Seasonal aragonite saturation state climatology of the CPEEZ from BCCM model (1993-2020)ESRI REST https://gisp.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/FGP/Seasonal_aragonite_saturation_state_climatology_of_the_CPEEZ_BCCM_1993_2020/MapServer Seasonal aragonite saturation state climatology of the CPEEZ from BCCM model (1993-2020)ESRI REST https://gisp.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/arcgis/rest/services/FGP/Seasonal_aragonite_saturation_state_climatology_of_the_CPEEZ_BCCM_1993_2020/MapServer
