Canada is not alone in struggling with a growing baby-boomer generation, limited healthcare funds and the need to meet seniors needs in their homes, rather than having to move into care.  Many seniors would prefer to stay at home.

Our federal governement must gather quantitative data about our current situation. Be it through Statistic Canada and other official agencies while keeping our personal data safe from unlawful usage.

The EI system is broke. It is no longer an insurance program - it's an income augmentation program. It encourages people to seek seasonal employment and refuse fulltime work. As a result, there are labour shortages in areas of high unemployment.

The government has a plan underway to promote innovation. This is good but we also need to take it seriously as a top level priority to ensure we increases Canada's competitiveness and productivity shortfall including our lagging investment.

I was in Playa Del Carmen Mexico recently when the Canadian government issued a travel advisory. Every Canadian I met was unhappy with the lack of knowledge or reasoning presented by the Canadian Government as to why they issued a travel advisory.

Your government has promised to bring back fairness for middle class family. This has given me a sense of hope and optimism. This optimism is fading as I feel being left behind.
